9. Merzing Schwitters' genes

Picasso and Braque "discovered" collage ca.1912, but Schwitters later took it in new directions, using the detritus of society as raw material.

Schwitters coined the phrase "merzing" to describe the act of making his collages.

My work is a homage to Schwitters, and it often contains one of his signature items, namely a discarded tram ticket, but in this case the "ticket" is a construct  not printed with tram stops and prices etc, but rather with information central to modern genetics.
